Wavelength Calibratioll Tests for

Standard Oase Reductions

Abstract

We report the results of RSDP testing for the wavelength calibration
portion of 3 tbe FOS calibration testbed program CALFOS. Wavelength
calibration is plished by reading appropriate polynomial coefficients
frorn the reference relation table CCSO and applying them properly to
input science data files in GEIS format. Output files can then be
inspected to verify that the proper conversion from channel number to
wavelength has been accomplished. Some problems with CALFOS were
discovered during the testing that prevented us from testing the
prism, but other combinations of disperser, tube, and aperture (single
and double) have been verified to work properly.
