Abstract

FOS Digicon detector exposure safety limits are investigated, with 
consideration given to both instantaineous and cumulative damage 
thresholds. Recommendations are developed concerning the use of the 
internal calibration lamps, external target brightness restrictions, 
and the 'overlight' protection.
