SCATTERED LIGHT From BRIGHT EMISSION LINES Prelirninary Version Calibration Plan 12B M. SIRK and R. BOHLIN SPACE TELESCOPE SCIENCE INSTITUTE Instrument Science Report CAL/FOS015 MARCH, 1985 Abstract Scattered light levels are obtained by observing emission lines. At a distance of 50 diodes from the spectral lines the sca.ttered light ranges frorn 1 x i0~ to 4 x 10~ tbat of the peak count rates. Upper limits to scattered ligbt at 2 diodes frorn the lines range from 7 x 10~ to 1 x 102 the peak count rates. An anomalous feature on tbe blue tube with a periodic structure of 4 diodes is not understood.
