Proposal_Information Title: WFPC2 Cycle 6: Throughput Verification for Narrow Band Filters Proposal_Category: CAL/WF2 Scientific_Category: Cycle: 6 Investigators PI_Name: Stefano Casertano PI_Institution: STScI Abstract: This program will provide direct verification of throughput of narrow band filters through observations of emission line objects. Questions Observing_Description: The current throughput calibration of narrow-band filters is based on filter profiles from data obtained before launch and on observations of continuum sources. This program will verify the accuracy of the calibration, and indirectly obtain the stability of the filters, by observing eight PN with strong lines and well-established ground-based spectra. Most observations can be executed in SNAPSHOT mode since they will be short and none is specifically required. Some PN with existing cycle 4 and 5 observations will be included for stability verification. Observations of NGC6833 will also be used by the FOS team to close-out FOS calibration.
