Questions

   Observing_Description:

         We will make deep observations in NGC 3597 to probe down into 
	 the young and the primordial globular cluster populations.
	 From these observations, we will attempt to determine a
	 formation history for the globular cluster populations, and
	 determine whether the luminosity function of the young cluster
	 population is similar to Galactic globular clusters.

   Real_Time_Justification:

         To probe into the primordial globular cluster population in
         NGC 3597, we need to observe to V ~ 27. To separate globular
         cluster poplations, we need color information. We will observe 
         for two orbits in each of F450W and F702W to obtain these data.

   Calibration_Justification:

Abstract:               

    Observing sites of young globular cluster formation may provide 
    important insights into formation mechanisms. Young clusters were
    observed in NGC 3597 in Cycle 4. The present observations will be
    deeper to probe the luminosity function of the young globular
    cluster system.
