Trafton CoI_Institution: University of Texas Abstract: This program will obtain images and spectra of Saturn, primarily in the ultraviolet, at the time of either Earth or Solar ring-plane crossing in the second half of 1995. The objective is to compare northern and southern hemisphere properties at the time of equinox. Questions Observing_Description: Images and spectrscopy of Saturn will be done on consecutive orbits near ring-plane crossing. Earth ring-plane crossing is preferred in August, but solar ring-plane crossing later is acceptable. The spectroscopy will use the FOS in the spatial scan mode. Imaging will be with the WFPC2.
