Y or N (designate at most one contact) Abstract: ! Free format text (clear and concise) This proposal will observe the same portion of NGC104 as observed with the F/96 relay in order to determine the geometric correction and plate scale. The field will be observed with the 256z x 1024 spectrographic format at the central position and 4 positions at the corners of the format to provide a complete solution that can then be applied to the full format (512z x 1024) format using the same reduction method as applied to the F/96 data. This will result in high-accuracy geometric correction files for the formats used with the long-slit. Questions ! Free format text (clear and concise) Observing_Description: The NGC104 field will be observed with the 256z x 1024 format; the first image will be centered on the target, the next four will be positioned at each corner of the format. The format covers 14" x 28", so the POS TARGs are +/- 3.5" in X, and +/- 7" in Y, moving the central stars 1/2 towards each edge. Following these images, the full format 512 x 1024 format will be used at the central position. Finally, a blind offset to the slit will provide a spectra of the stars at the core. Real_Time_Justification: There are no real-time requirements for this proposal. Calibration_Justification: This proposal will provide the quality of geometric correction files necessary for the reduction of long-slit spectra. Additional_Comments: Fixed_Targets !
