Questions Observing_Description: The crowded Omega Cen field is observed for 40 sec through F555W with gain 7, each with a preflash of 0, 5, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 electrons. As a gain check and calibration, it is observed at the same orientation with gain 15 twice at preflash levels of 0 and 160 electrons. The sequence is repeated with filter F814W. The first sequence is repeated again for F555W but begins with a VISFLAT observation. Next, a whole orbit is filled with 1 second exposures in order to investigate the effect of CTE on low signal level stars (but with high accumulated signal to noise). This orbit is done again (using F555W) but each subsequent image is shifted in increments of 5,5 PC pixels. The last orbit is the same sequence of observations, but each external exposure is preceded by a preflash of 40 electrons. Output -- After pipeline processing, each image will be reduced by aperture photometry to measure the star brightness, and how they depend on preflash level. This is a differential measurement, and gives no direct information about the slope of the CTE effect at high background levels. The absolute CTE can be estimated from 5646 (already run once with a raster in this field). Real_Time_Justification: Calibration_Justification: Additional_Comments: SCHEDULING COMMENTS: - Proposal currently written as a single visit requiring 6 orbits but may be broken into 2 or 3 visits for easier scheduling as long as same orientation is maintained. - Please try to execute entire proposal within 2 days. This is necessary to minimize the spacecraft temperature differences that result from orbital precession effects. - Please do not increase or decrease exposure time of the last observation in an orbit. - the proposal is written such that: lines 105-185 in orbit 1 lines 200-285 in orbit 2 lines 305-385 in orbit 3 lines 401-421 in orbit 4 line 500 in orbit 5 lines 600-685 in orbit 6 - orbits 1, 2, 3, and 6 require manual-merging to put intflats in the same alignment as their associated external exposures.
