Abstract We propose to use archived FOC and WFPC2 images as part of a multi-wavelength study of the structure of powerful radio galaxies. The HST images will be combined with a large ground- based data set consisting of high resolution multi-wavelength radio maps, long-slit optical spectra, narrow-band emission line images, and deep J, H, and K band images. The goals are to understand the large scale emission line regions, the aligned optical continua and the large rotation measures and depolarization seen in powerful radio galaxies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observations Description ------------------------ Real Time Justification ----------------------- Calibration Justification ------------------------- Additional Comments ------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Data Distribution Media: 8MM Blocking Factor: 10 Ship To: PI_Address Ship Via: UPS Email: , ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5806( 0) - 07/18/95 18:03 - [ 2] Summary Form for Proposal 5806 Item Used in this proposal ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Proposal Category AR ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scientific Category AGN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
