    line_1:        Quantitative photometric work using FOC data is severely hampered
    line_2:        because of the non-linear response of the detector.   Because of
    line_3:        the non-linearity, countrates must be kept down below a few tenths
    line_4:        of a count per pixel (depending on format) in order to keep photo-
    line_5:        metric uncertainties reasonable.
    line_6:        The purpose of this proposal is to try to characterize the non-
    line_7:        linear response of the detector, to point sources.   The results
    line_8:        may then be used to derive a general non-linearity correction with
    line_9:        the goal of improving photometric accuracy.
