We propose to obtain a line_6: FOS spectra to complement a large number of IUE observations line_7: which will be used in variability analysis; the higher line_8: signal-to-noise ratio and higher resolution available with line_9: the FOS will provide an important complement to the high line_10: time resolution data available with IUE. High-quality FOS line_11: spectra will be of key importance in emission-line profile line_12: studies by allowing us to better assess the relative line_13: contribution from various emission-line components, line_14: especially the contaminating emission from the narrow-line line_15: region. ! ! end of abstract general_form_proposers: lname: PETERSON fname: BRADLEY title: PI mi: M inst: OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY country: USA ! lname: ALLOIN fname: DANIELLE inst: OBSERVATOIRE DE PARIS - SECTION DE MEUDON country: FRANCE esa: Y ! lname: CLAVEL fname: JEAN inst: INFRARED SPACE OBSERVATORY, EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY, ESTEC country: NETHERLANDS esa: Y ! lname: CRENSHAW fname: D MICHAEL inst: COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION country: USA ! lname: EVANS fname: IAN mi: N inst: SPACE TELESCOPE SCIENCE INSTITUTE country: USA ! lname: KRISS fname: GERARD mi: A inst: JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY country: USA ! lname: MALKAN fname: MATTHEW mi: A inst: UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES country: USA ! lname: NETZER fname: HAGAI inst: WISE OBSERVATORY, TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY country: ISRAEL ! lname: REICHERT fname: GAIL mi: A inst: UNIVERSITIES SPACE RESEARCH ASSOCIATION country: USA ! lname: WAMSTEKER fname: WILLEM inst: IUE OBSERVATORY, VILSPA country: SPAIN esa: Y ! ! end of general_form_proposers block general_form_text: question: 5 section: 0 line_1: The observations proposed here constitute a time-critical line_2: experiment coordinated with the IUE satellite.
