This will be accomplished by observing line_5: Lyman-alpha and C IV 1550 emission with the GHRS and with line_6: nearly simultaneous ground based observations of Hbeta line_7: and Halpha. Emission line fluxes and profiles will be line_8: analyzed and compared as a function of radial velocity line_9: to study how conditions change within the broad line line_10: region. Line ratios will also yield information about line_11: the photoionization conditions in the BLR including line_12: density and the ionization parameter.
