The settings are designed to measure line_4: the astigmatism by decentering and tilting the secondary line_5: mirror in such a way as to keep the coma zero. The line_6: settings will be chosen to give measurable astigmatism so line_7: as to indicate where the zero astigmatism position is, line_8: which is the fully-aligned configuration. line_10: The sequence should be performed at each OTA setting. line_11: The exposure with F486N filter and no ND's is to expose the line_12: pads satisfactorily. The core of the PSF will be saturated. line_13: The exposure with ND's is to allow an independent phase line_14: retrieval measurement. After the initial line_15: acquisition and realtime uplink to move the star to the line_16: center of the field, each sequence should take 1 orbit. ! ! end of abstract general_form_proposers: lname: JEDRZEJEWSKI fname: R. title: DR. mi: I. inst: STSCI country: USA esa: Y ! lname: SCHROEDER fname: DANIEL title: PROF. mi: J. inst: BELOIT COLLEGE country: USA esa: N ! lname: BURROWS fname: CHRIS title: DR. mi: J. inst: STSCI country: USA esa: Y ! lname: GROTH fname: ED. title: PROF. mi: J. inst: PRINCETON UNIVERSITY country: USA esa: N ! ! end of general_form_proposers block general_form_text: question: 3 section: 1 line_1: This proposal will perform observations through the line_2: F486N filter in F/96 mode at four settings of the line_3: OTA secondary mirror.
