There will be a realtime line_4: "target acquisition exposure" in order to place the line_5: star at the correct location in PC6. Then there will line_6: 3 sets of exposures at different secondary mirror line_7: decenters in order to measure the coma of the telescope. line_8: Prior to each set of exposures, realtime contacts must line_9: be established in order to move the secondary mirror. line_10: The first set occurs at the nominal zero coma position. line_11: The second at a position expected to have coma opposite line_12: to that presently in the telescope. The third occurs line_13: at the original position of the secondary mirror where line_14: the secondary mirror is left. Each set of exposures line_15: consists of 4 exposures, a short and a long exposure line_16: in F487N and F889N. It is estimated that each set can line_17: be completed in one orbit, so four orbits are required line_18: for this proposal. All exposures are to occur in fine line_19: lock, be pre-flashed, and not be cosmic ray split. ! ! end of abstract general_form_proposers: lname: GROTH fname: EDWARD title: PROF mi: J inst: PRINCETON UNIVERSITY country: USA esa: N ! lname: SCHROEDER fname: DANIEL title: PROF mi: J inst: BELOIT COLLEGE country: USA esa: N ! lname: BURROWS fname: CHRIS title: DR inst: STSCI country: USA esa: N ! lname: JEDRZEJEWSKI fname: ROBERT title: DR inst: ESA country: UK esa: Y ! ! end of general_form_proposers block general_form_text: question: 2 section: 1 line_1: This proposal requests the use of PC6 with filters line_2: F487N and F889N in order to do a "coma sweep" as line_3: approved by the TTSC.
