It is intended to repeat the 13th and 15th line_4: magnitude stars that were missed during execution of SV/HSP 1385. For more line_5: details of the observations, please refer to 1385. ! ! end of abstract general_form_proposers: lname: BLESS fname: R. title: PI mi: C. inst: UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN country: USA ! ! end of general_form_proposers block general_form_text: question: 3 section: 1 line_1: The observations will be obtained with the visual IDT (IDT#3) configured in line_2: both the digital and analog, single and star-sky modes. Along with SV/HSP 1385 line_3: 11 photometric standards will be observed with several stars in the range 6 line_4: < V < 10 mag., in common with both observing modes. The first line_5: star is acquired in the 10 arcsec finding aperture of IDT#3 (VIS). The line_6: star is then positioned to a selected 1.0 arcsec aperture (F551W). If the star line_7: is between 6 < V < 10 mag., the IDT is configured in the analog and digital line_8: star-sky mode (i.e. DATA-FORMAT=ALL) with sky background obtained through line_9: the 1.0 arcsec aperture and an integration is performed. For stars fainter line_10: than tenth magnitude, the IDT is used only in the digital star-sky mode line_11: and sky background is obtained through the 1.0 arcsec aperture. This line_12: test should be completed in a one week period. ! question: 5 section: 1 line_1: line_8: Pointing Stability: Coarse track is understood to have less than 19 line_9: marcsec stability. That is satisfactory for all observations in the line_10: 10" and 1.0" UV1, UV2, and VIS IDT apertures, the PMT, and the 6.0" line_11: (finding) POL IDT aperture. HSP requires fine lock for all observations line_12: in the 0.65" POL IDT aperture and in all the 0.4" apertures. ! question: 6 section: 1 line_1: No special calibrations, dark time, or uninterupted exposures are requested. ! question: 7 section: 1 line_1: Data reduction consists of deriving instrumental count rates, correcting for sky line_2: background and deadtime losses (in the digital data). Instrumental magnitudes line_3: are then calculated and transformed to the Johnson V standard photometric line_4: system. line_6: In data analysis, the transformed V magnitudes are compared to the line_7: ground-based values and a weighted least squares fit is performed to determine line_8: deviations from linearity, dynamic range, and relatability of analog versus line_9: digital observations. Deadtime corrections will be compared with results from line_10: ground-based testing and supplied to the Calibration Data Base (CDB). ! question: 8 section: 1 line_1: No supporting or coordinated observations with other facilites are line_2: anticipated. ! question: 10 section: 1 line_1: Data reduction and analysis will be supported on two computer facilities at the line_2: University of Wisconsin in Madison: line_3: a) A VAX 11/780 computer under the VMS operating system with extensive line_4: applications software. line_5: b) A microVAX cluster under the ULTRIX operating system line_6: Both the computer facilities support the FITS tape standard and thus can line_7: readily access the ST-FITS data export products. ! !end of general form text general_form_address: lname: BLESS fname: ROBERT mi: C. category: PI inst: UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN ! lname: DOLAN fname: JOE mi: F. category: CON inst: GSFC addr_1: CODE 681 city: GREENBELT state: MD zip: 20771 country: USA phone: 301-344-5920 ! ! end of general_form_address records fixed_targets: targnum: 28 name_1: GICLAS153-41 descr_1: STANDARD STAR NEAR SELECTED AREA 107 pos_1: RA=16H 17M 55.433S +/- 1", pos_2: DEC=-15D 35' 49.272 " +/- 1" equinox: 2000 pm_or_par: N plate_req: N comment_1: ST EQUATORIAL STANDARD comment_2: MAGREF = ST ATLAS comment_3: POSREF = PICKLES fluxnum_1: 1 fluxval_1: V=13.42,B-V=-0.22 ! targnum: 29 name_1: SA101-330 descr_1: STANDARD STAR IN SELECTED AREA 101 pos_1: RA=09H 56M 20.551S +/- 1", pos_2: DEC=-0D 27' 22.932" +/- 1" equinox: 2000 pm_or_par: N plate_req: N comment_1: ST EQUATORIAL STANDARD comment_2: MAGREF = ST ATLAS comment_3: POSREF = PICKLES fluxnum_1: 1 fluxval_1: V=13.71,B-V=0.58 ! targnum: 30 name_1: SA95-42 descr_1: STANDARD STAR IN SELECTED AREA 95 pos_1: RA=03H 53M 43.67S +/- 1", pos_2: DEC=-0D 04' 33.0" +/- 1", pos_3: PLATE-ID=018B, equinox: 2000 pm_or_par: N plate_req: N comment_1: MAGREF = ST ATLAS comment_2: POSREF = ST ATLAS fluxnum_1: 1 fluxval_1: V=15.61,B-V=-0.22 ! targnum: 31 name_1: G60-54 descr_1: STANDARD STAR IN ST ATLAS pos_1: RA=13H 00M 09.53S +/- 1", pos_2: DEC=+03D 28' 55.7" +/- 1", pos_3: PLATE-ID=00ZW, equinox: 2000 pm_or_par: N plate_req: N comment_1: MAGREF = ST ATLAS comment_2: POSREF = ST ATLAS fluxnum_1: 1 fluxval_1: V=15.81,B-V=0.65 ! targnum: 32 name_1: GD248 descr_1: STANDARD STAR IN ST ATLAS pos_1: RA=23H 26M 06.69S +/- 1", pos_2: DEC=+16D 00' 21.4" +/- 1", pos_3: PLATE-ID=02BB equinox: 2000 pm_or_par: N plate_req: N comment_1: MAGREF = ST ATLAS comment_2: POSREF = ST ATLAS fluxnum_1: 1 fluxval_1: V=15.09,B-V=.09 ! ! end of fixed targets !
