abstract:

    line_1:        The purpose of this calibration test is to take data of known crowded star
    line_2:        fields and determine the effects on standard automatic data reduction programs.
    line_3:        The data will be taken in at two wavelength extremes to isolate the point
    line_4:        spread function dependency for this analysis. The PSF must be measured once per
    line_5:        WF/PC SAT "campaign" or if the mirror position has changed or more than 7 days
    line_6:        have passed since the last calibration.

    line_1:        This calibration test will use the WF/PC in a normal data
    line_2:        gathering mode for science operations. This test will allow
    line_3:        background, noise, and system parameters to be compared to
    line_4:        similar data taken from ground based telescopes. They can
    line_5:        be considered routine science exposures, with no unusual
    line_6:        requirements.

    line_1:        This is a SAT activity for which the prerequsites are that the camera
    line_2:        be UV-flooded, if we are using a flood, and the final telescope focus
    line_3:        and collimation be adopted.  The secondary mirror position and tilt should
    line_4:        should not be adjusted between the PSF exposures in NGC188 in prop 3013 and the
    line_5:        main exposures in NGC 925.

    line_5:        will be available to the ScI with our usual level of documentation.
