    line_1:        Verify that the best focus position of the secondary as derived
    line_2:        in the OCS Focus calibrations is appropriate
    line_3:        for the SIs. The test will check the focus for the HRS, FOS,
    line_4:        FGS and PC. In the event that the focus does not satisfy
    line_5:        SI requirements, a recommendation will be made for
    line_6:        optimization of the focus which represents a compromise for
    line_7:        all the SIs.

    line_1:        The SI Focus Test will measure a point source as seen by the
    line_2:        SIs at 5 secondary mirror positions. At each secondary mirror
    line_3:        position, the following sequence of observations will be
    line_4:        made: a set of FOS spectra acquired during a step and dwell over the
    line_5:        0.1 arcsec aperture using a grating to get wavelength coverage,
    line_6:        a high resolution HRS focus diode map of the stellar image,
    line_7:        a PC image and FGS astrometric transfer
    line_8:        function measurements of the stars within the field.

    line_4:        - The Secondary Mirror MUST be placed in the position for

    line_8:        focus fiducial. At the end of the test, the secondary mirror must be placed
    line_9:        back in the pre-OLT position.
    line_10:       - A 10 minute period has been adopted for REAL-TIME update
    line_11:       of the secondary mirror. A longer duration for this activity
    line_12:       will seriously impact test efficiency. Stored commanding
    line_13:       of the secondary motion, if possible, would significantly decrease
    line_14:       test duration and preclude any problems from lost TDRSS contact.
