Our goal is to determine column densities and kinematics line_4: in the intermediate temperature gas to help us understand the physics of line_5: conductive interfaces. We expect equivalent widths in the range 1-10 mA. line_6: We will use the GHRS G160M grating with the A2 mirror to optimize signal line_7: and spectral resolution. Exposure times chosen to line_5: give 6 sigma detection against stellar background for lines line_6: strengths predicted in physics calculation. Need to measure line_7: scattered light background and reduce pattern noise to line_8: achieve signal to noise ratios of about 60-130. Will also look line_9: at Rosette star known not to be in or behind bubble as a line_10: control.
