The goals of this test are: (1) to determine line_3: the deflection coordinates of the projections of the 4 HRS apertures on the line_4: detector faceplates with accuracies of a deflection step, and (2) to line_5: determine the proportional deflection correction. ! ! end of abstract general_form_proposers: lname: KRUEGER fname: VERN inst: GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER country: USA ! lname: GARNER fname: HARRY inst: BALL AEROSPACE SYSTEMS DIV. country: USA ! lname: EBBETS fname: DENNIS inst: BALL AEROSPACE SYSTEMS DIV. country: USA ! lname: WILLIAMS fname: BRUCE inst: BALL AEROSPACE SYSTEMS DIV. country: USA ! lname: TROELTZSCH fname: JOHN inst: BALL AEROSPACE SYSTEMS DIV. country: USA ! ! end of general_form_proposers block general_form_text: question: 2 section: 1 line_1: HRS OV Objectives: line_2: 1. Provide the coordinates of the HRS apertures to an accuracy of 1 line_3: deflection step. line_4: 2. Determine the proportional deflection corrections, if any. ! question: 3 section: 1 line_1: The telescope will be pointed at the bright earth. The HRS will preform line_2: a deflection calibration and field map of SC1, SC2, the LSA, and the SSA line_3: using detector 1 and the mirror N1. Next, a deflection calibration and line_4: field map will be made of SC1 using A1. The HRS will then be commanded to line_5: perform deflection calibrations and field maps of the 4 apertures using N2. line_6: Finally, the procedure for N2 will be repeated for A2. line_8: Testing on each detector should be proceeded by a 1 hour warm up period to line_9: allow for maximum thermal stability. A 1 hour dark count is included in line_10: the exposure logsheet for a warm up. This dark count may be deleted once the line_11: new SI reconfiguration software is installed if an alternate method of HRS line_12: warm up is provided. line_14: The observations for each mirror should be constructed as GCOSTs since the line_15: field map centers of the apertures will not be accurately known until 2 line_16: days before the test. ! question: 3 section: 2 line_1: Lines 2-8 will update IMAGE X and Y values based on results from Proposal 1404 line_2: in realtime. line_4: Lines 10-17 will update IMAGE X and Y values based on results from Proposal line_5: 1404 in realtime. ! question: 5 section: 1 line_1: This test should be scheduled to run no sooner than 4 days after the completion line_2: the HRS Internal Camera Mode Test. line_4: Prerequisites: line_5: 1. Proposal 1404 HRS Internal Camera Mode Test must have been run and analyzed. line_7: NOTE: The aperture maps will actually take approximately half as long as the line_8: time_per_exposure on the exposure logsheet since both mapping diodes will be line_9: used. The time_per_exposure stated on the exposure logsheet agrees with the line_10: new proposal instructions, but the actual formula for 2 diode mapping is line_11: effective_NX * NY * Step_Time where the effective_NX is roughly 0.5 * NX. ! question: 7 section: 1 line_1: 1. Aperture edges will be measured from map images. line_3: 2. LSA and SSA centers and locations will be measured with respect to the line_4: spectral cal lamp apertures. line_6: 3. Flight software database will be updated with the new aperture positions. ! question: 10 section: 1 line_1: 1. Test design support line_3: 2. Test execution support team line_5: 3.
