abstract:

    line_1:        Search for young stars in 2 dwarf elliptical galaxies is proposed. Several of
    line_2:        these galaxies in the local group and recently in the Virgo cluster are known
    line_3:        to contain young stars. The origin of this ongoing star formation is still
    line_4:        unknown. Only high resolution Space Telescope FOC observation will allow to
    line_5:        study the properties of the star formation regions in galaxies outside the
    line_6:        local group. Then we propose FOC f/48 observations of 2 dwarf elliptical
    line_7:        galaxies. They have been selected on the basis of multicolor CCD photometry
    line_8:        obtained at the Canada France Hawaii telescope. Three filters are needed for
    line_9:        each exposure. A UV image help to detect the brightest hot stars and U and B
    line_10:       filters allow to determine the dust extinction and the colors of the brightest
    line_11:       stars.
