The High Resolution Spectrograph line_4: will be utilized to obtain moderate resolution spectra of the fluorescent Fe I line_5: emission lines near 2830 A and the large number of Fe II emission lines in the line_6: 2575 - 2800 A region for R Dor. In addition, the echelle mode will be used to line_7: obtain high resolution observations of the Mg II emission lines near 2800 A in line_8: R Dor and several other dusty stars. line_10: These data will be used to produce models of the outer atmosphere of R Dor and line_11: to determine the velocity structure of its wind. The Mg II profiles from all line_12: the spectra will be used to estimate outflow velocities and the strength of line_13: each star's chromosphere.
