  question: 2
    section: 1
    line_1: QSO 2130+099 is a nearby QSO with z=0.061 and v=14.4. Our
line_2: recent studies of this object including image-deconvolution
line_3: indicate that the host galaxy is a barred spiral with a central
line_4: surface brightness, mu(B)=21.3 mag per sq. arcsec and a scale
line_5: length of 4 kpc. We will continue our studies of this object
line_6: with the HST/WFPC and GHRS by making four types of
line_7: observations: (1) images of the quasar-host galaxy with the
line_8: PC; (2) UV maps of the nucleus with the GHRS; (3) UV spectrum
line_9: of the nucleus with the GHRS; and (4) off-nuclear ultraviolet
line_10: spectrum of the host galaxy with the GHRS. We shall use the
line_11: UV spectrum of the nucleus to search for "nearby" Lyman
    line_12: alpha clouds.

  question: 3
    section: 1
line_1: Schedule in Cycle 3 AFTER the repair mission.
line_2: Schedule the GHRS observations in dark time, so that
line_3: geocoronal Ly alpha emission doesn't swamp the target.

!

  question: 4
    section: 1
line_1: Only the HST can give the required angular resolution and
line_2: UV throughput and spectral resolution.

!

  question: 5
    section: 1
line_1: Lines 20-22 call for GHRS field maps that are not standard.

!

  question: 7
    section: 1
line_1: Astrometric reduction of the PC images will be done at the
line_2: STScI in order to obtain precise coordinates of the region
line_3: for GHRS observations. Reduction and analysis of the data
line_4: will be done at GSFC.

!

  question: 13
    section: 1
line_1: We will obtain images and UV spectra of QSO 2130+099.
