SExtractor

  For a non-interactive extraction of spectra, it is essential that objects are found and classified reliably. Therefore, a sophisticated object finding program was included in Calnic C. The third-party program, SExtractor is used to detect object on the direct image. This program is thoroughly documented in the "SExtractor 1.0 User's Guide". See section 5.1.5 for more information about SExtractor and its specific setup files.
