The basic goals of this test are long term trend analysis and improvement of statistical accuracy. Engineering mode PHOTOSCAN will be used: an integration time of 10 seconds with 7 bins produces a readout every 70 seconds. It is necessary that each bin contain consecutive 10 second integrations. 8 of these observations yields 9.3 minutes of data. The first 3 dark monitor proposals (1408, 2841, 4065) were run after a PMDB Change Request changed the spacing to 16. When 4065 did not run as expected, the spacing error was re-discovered and corrected in proposal 5039. SPACING=16 ensures 10 consecutive secs of dark data rather than 50 non-consecutive 0.2 s periods. (LES) This test supersedes proposals 5541 (Side 1) and 5549 (Side 2) for Cycle 4. This test should run a total of 18 times; once a month for each side starting in July 1994. We have removed the scheduling requirements for execution of this test inside and outside the SAA. These are internal tests and do not require any special pointing of the telescope. There is no carrousel motion.
