An integration time of 10 seconds with 7 bins produces a readout every 70 seconds. It is necessary that each bin contain consecutive 10 second integrations. 16 of these observations provides 18.7 minutes of dark count data. All deflections are 2048, 2048. The first 3 dark monitor proposals (1408, 2841, 4065) were run after a PMDB Change Request changed the spacing to 16. When 4065 did not run as expected, the spacing error was re- discovered and corrected in proposal 5039. SPACING=16 ensures 10 consecutive seconds of dark data rather than 50 non-consecutive 0.2 s periods. (LES) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. Estimated observing time = 12 exposures x 18.67 minutes = 224.04 minutes = 3.73 hours for Side 1. Estimates based on 15 month lifetime for Cycle 4; monitor run twice every 2.5 months (1 in SAA; 1 out SAA). Guiding Tolerance: none - internal test only Second execution of this test should be ONLY ONE(1) MONTH after first execution. These are internal tests and do not require any special pointing of the telescope. There is no carrousel motion. Line 11 should be executed completely WITHIN the SAA.
