Abstract This proposal defines measurements of the internal spectral calibration lamp SC2 for the GHRS side 1 spectroscopic modes G140L, G140M and Ech-A. These will be carried out during the cycle 4 calibration program. Description of proposed observations. The proposal has three distinct parts, which are independent of each other, and may be scheduled and executed separately. Lines 100-130 grating G140L at four wavelengths: 1200 1400 1600 1800 Lines 200-250 grating G140M at six wavelengths: 1165 1215 1254 1330 1405 1525 Lines 300-372 Echelle A at four carrousel positions, with the same seven orders observed at each line 380 is one additional short wavelength for Echelle A All exposures use substep patterns with 4 samples per diode width, and two bins to measure background. All exposures should include an explicit SPYBAL calibration to optimize the centering of the spectrum on the diode array. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. The execution of this proposal should be scheduled for several weeks after the side 1 carrousel commanding verification test. The cross-strapped commanding of side 1 carrousel functions has not been verified yet. Execute after successful completion of 5276 and before 5278. The data analysis will be similar to that performed with the data from OV, SV and calibration monitoring spectral lamp tests.
