Description of proposed observations. Position the target star in the center of the FGS FOV. ScI is to schedule a slew to the target followed by a pair of FHST updates. The scheduling of this proposal is to be determined to provide concurrent FGS and FHST activities to the extent possible for each of two orbits. PCS will adjust the uplink modifiers as required, command the vehicle to acquire guide stars and perform two maps in the first orbit. A reacqisition will be performed in the second orbit, followed by three maps and the readjusting of the uplink modifiers. PASSOPS will compute the attitude and the FHST to FGS alignments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. Prerequisite: FHST/RGA Alignment via proposal 5253. Real-time telemetry is required to monitor the FGS and FHST maps. FGS data and FHST data are required to be taken simultaneously. The FHSTs must be cycled during this observation to ensure that data are obtained from all 3 FHSTs, with at least 2 FHSTs being simultaneous at a time. The FHST-to-FHST activity (SSM-G34) must have been successfully completed prior to starting this activity. As both real-time and MOC merge SMS activites will overlay these observations, no parallel or interleaved activities are allowed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6. Description of special calibration exposures. FN format is required for the data takes. The FGE K-factors will be adjusted for this proposal and will be reset afterwards by PCS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7. Data reduction and analysis plans. The FGS and concurrent FHST data will be reduced using the PASS fine attitude determination and alignment software to compute the alignments which can be subsequently uplinked to HST. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8.
