The initial results determine at small redshifts the line_7: number densities of Ly-ALPHA systems, of metal-lines and extragalactic halos, line_8: of Lyman-limit systems, of associated absorption systems, and the shapes and line_9: intensities of quasar emission lines and spectral energy distributions. The line_10: survey reveals that much of the sky is covered by high or very high velocity line_11: metal-line clouds present in the Galactic halo. A larger sample, which line_12: includes the requested Cycle 3 observations, is required to answer many line_13: important questions.
