Abstract Observations of Nova Cyg 1992 will be made in an attempt to explore the physical conditions near the the white dwarf in the system. Description of proposed observations. The target will be observered for one orbit at a sample time of 0.1 seconds through the F140lp filter on UV2. The short wavelength of this observation will allow the inner regions of the nova to be probed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. Justification of need for HST observations. ST is required to observe the ulta-violet light curve of the nova. Without uv observations light from the outer portions of the nova dominate the observations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 13.
