    line_1:        Over the lifetime of GHRS operations it will be

    line_3:        of isolated channels from time to time. A channel
    line_4:        may show an increase in noise level which can be
    line_5:        reduced by increasing the threshold. It will not
    line_6:        always be necessary to run a full PHA, as a new
    line_7:        value may be deduced from existing data or general
    line_8:        experience. This proposal provides a convenient
    line_9:        mechanism for loading and verifying new threshold
    line_10:       tables as an isolated activity.
