Abstract This proposal generates interim values of the optical field distortion, and the plate scale, and consists of 3 parts, one to calibrate each FGS unit. These tests are designed to be done for nominal roll on 12/27/90 at 0H Zulu. The nominal rolls (from Pickles) are: FGS1:ORIENT= -105.78D, vehicle roll=285.78D FGS2:ORIENT= - 106.39D, vehicle roll=286.39D FGS3:ORIENT= -106.28D, vehicle roll=286.28D The five pointings place Star #1 for each target list at five points within the respective pickle. The pattern is: + +++ + with central pointing being at the center of the pickle (~12', from the V1 axis). The other four pointings are at (60,0), (0,60), (- 60,0), and (0,-60) measured in seconds of arc, from the central pointing. This is the placement of the check star (#1), relative to the center of the pickle, as observed from within the celestial sphere, looking out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8.
