Abstract Short exposures in the V and I bands will be made of the Galactic globular cluster M15 with the Planetary Camera. These exposures will be an important test of the ability of the HST to do crowded field photometry. Three exposures will be taken of the core of M15. This series of exposures will give both colors (V and I) and number densities for the brightest stars in the central region of M15. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. Justification of need for HST observations. ST observations are required in order to resolve individual stars in the core of M15 in sufficient numbers to permit a determination of the stellar density law. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7.
