This activity defines the procedure to be used to obtain FGS transfer function data on each of the FGS interferometers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. Description of proposed observations. Position an FGS to the specified star. Search and acquire star in coarse track and obtain data for FGS S-curve during walk-down sequence. The FGS will exceed the scan step limit and will enter stop mode. Repeat for FGS 3 and FGS 2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. Justification of need for HST observations. n/a ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. Real-time telemetry capability. Appropriate software available in the off-line POCC computer. "Bootstrap Phase B/Wavefront Measurement and Adjustment" (PEP ID 2148) and "1st Order Plate Scale / Interim Optical Field Angle Distortion (PEP ID 1544) must be successfully completed before initiation of this activity.
