Description of proposed observations. In this test, we will obtain data on the internal Pt-Ne lamps. Data will be obtained through the 0.1-PAIR, the 0.25-PAIR, and 0.3" apertures using grating G400H. The apertures will be cycled such that the aperture wheel will always move backward to the 0.3" aperture, forward to the 0.1-PAIR aperture, and both ways to the 0.25-PAIR. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. Justification of need for HST observations. Not applicable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. All observations are parallel. This program should occur at least 7D after OV program 2188. The observations must be NON-INT. If the PAR requirement makes this unschedulable, then make the observations prime. Note that this program takes ~2 hours (including SI overhead), and therefore requires non-SAA orbits. All observations are SV Minimum plan. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6. Description of special calibration exposures. This test is not stray light sensitive. All observations are internal Pt-Ne lamp measurements. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7. Data reduction and analysis plans. Data reduction will be performed at the ST ScI, and the analysis will be performed using FOS IDT computer facilities. This is a verification of ground- based analysis, so no data will need to be added to the PODPS pipeline. However, if this program determines a large error in the repeatability of the aperture wheel, it may result in additional repeats of this test needing to be performed.
