Description of proposed observations. Focus diode field maps will be used to scan emission line images produced by each grating and echelle. The SC2 lamp will be used. Maps will be made with the image at the left hand side and at the right side of the photocathode. Each map will be 22x22 pixels. One set will be made with 25MUm pixel, spacings, and a second set with 0.25MUm spacing. The image mode will be used. The integration time is nominally 1 sec, but may be adjusted somewhat. Map parameters 1. left side diodes (right side will be used for some maps) 2. use both diodes for 25microm maps, one diode for 6.25 microm maps 3. number of lines = 22 4. number of samples = 22 5. X increment = 4 for test SMAPA, = 1 for test SMAPB 6. Y increment = 4 for test SMAPA, = 1 for test SMAPB 7. Carrousel positions, X and Y coords. hav been calculated based on the best ground-based calibrations. They will need to be updated after the spectral lamp mini-functionals, props. 1363- 1369 have been analyzed. There is no Target List with this proposal. It will not be possible to specify certain parameters, such as carrousel position and (X,Y) coordinates of map center until after the Image Location Tests run as part of the Standard HV Turn-on (Prop 1457) and the spectral lamp mini-functional tests OV 1363-1369 have been analyzed.
