Abstract The purposes of this test are to measure the wide angle scattered light and solar blind characteristics of the low resolution (G140L) grating configuration. The test numbers indicate the relative priorities of all HRS SV tests. All internal tests and all the HRS external target acquisition tests must be run before this test. Compute per standard operations, and apply offset at all four settings 3. Four diode comb. addition, seperation = 1 diode width (COMB=FOUR) 4. No exposure metering 5. Substep pattern with four steps/diode width on spectrum While on target, perform FOS scattered light test. (These FOS observations have been added to HRS-10 on agreement from Ken Carpenter, PI for this test, Ron Downes from FOS and Keith Kalinowski, STP-G. Acquire target in FOS using a 2 step peak up onboard target acquisition as follows: o 6 points/line, 6 lines, 1 sec/dwell, 0.7 arc-sec steps in 1.0 arc-sec aperture o 5 points/line, 5 lines, 1 sec/dwell, 0.2 arc-sec steps in 0.3 arc- sec aperture. Take a 1000 sec spectrum with G130H and 1.0 arc-sec aperture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. SV Prerequisites: HRS-05.2 Mode II Target Locate Acquisition (Prop 1352) must have been successfully completed and onboard target acquisition functional. HRS- 08 Low Resolution Calibration (Prop 1354) must have been completed at least 7 days prior to this test. HRS-09 Intermediate/Low Resolution Cross-Calibration (Prop 1355) data results will be required prior to analyzing the results of this test. FOS-07 Mode II Target Acquisition (Prop 2195) must have been successfully completed and onboard peakup acquisitions functional. Pointing Stability: A pointing accuracy of 0.03" is required for this test (10%) of smallest aperture used - 0.3" in FOS, 0.25 in GHRS). If coarse track or other mode provides this accuracy, fine lock is not required. SV Minimum Plan: All SV Delta Plan: None All HRS internal SV tests should be run before this test. All HRS external target acquisition SV tests should be run before this test. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7. Data reduction and analysis plans. Spectra will be reduced and analyzed with software developed by the HRS-IDT.
