Description of proposed observations. The test is performed as follows: 1) Acquire planetary satellite 2) Take 5 maps to monitor PCS tracking. 3) Reacquire the satellite the repeat step 2. 4) After target occultation, the map to verify gyro tracking. 5) Reacquire the satellite 6) Offset to another "nearby" satellite under gyro control 7) Take map after slew to determine initial repointing 8) Acquire guide stars "in place" to test moving target capability which require different guide stars. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. This test is to be performed in the late SV time period, after completion of the HRS MODE II TARGET ACQUISITION (1352) and the OV MOVING TARGET OLT (2183) if done during OV (2183 has been scrubbed...). Select one of targets Europa, Titan or Deimos in given order of preference. Scheduling for lines 1-6 (Europa): Start (or end) test 6-10 hours after (or before) Earth, Europa, Jupiter syzygy so that fairly rapid portion of Europa's apparent orbital motion is sampled while also somewhat constraining possible influence of scattered light from Jupiter. (6 hours from syzygy, Europa is ~1.25 arcmin from Jupiter's limb) Scheduling for lines 14,15 (Titan, Deimos): Start (or end) test sufficiently after (or before) Earth, satellite, planet syzygy that test samples relatively rapid portion of satellite's apparent orbital motion while somewhat constraining influence of scattered light from the planet. The SEQ NO GAP requirements are included in this test to verify the gyro tracking of a moving target during the occultation period. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 7.
