This is a proposal for 10.5 hours of our FOC IDT time. We are separately requesting stellar population study time in parallel with the WFC IDT when they are doing stellar population studies in nearby galaxies ie M31, M33, IC 1613, M81. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 13. A preliminary study of stellar populations in M31 in the B and V bands down to V=27m B=27.7 aiming for 1500 stars per frame and initially designed to elucidate the age distribution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11.
